Breakbot is the project of French producer Thibaut Berland, a key figure of Ed Banger Records. Initially working in animation, he began producing remixes in the mid-2000s, quickly gaining attention after reworking Justice and tracks by artists like Metronomy and Digitalism.

He broke through with Baby I’m Yours (2010), a retro-infused hit featuring Irfane, marking the start of a long-standing collaboration. Together, they shaped a signature sound blending disco, funk, and pop.

His debut album By Your Side (2012) and follow-up Still Waters (2016) cemented his feel-good, sun-soaked aesthetic, carried by melodic basslines, vintage influences, and Irfane’s vocals.

Today, Breakbot continues to embody a timeless groove-driven sound, balancing nostalgia and modern production.
